Often times organizations and even churches avoid confrontational topics.   We feel we must share our perspective on where we stand.   How can we ask you to support us if you don't know our heart?  Our heart is poured out before you.

Racism, Hate, and Prejudice

These three things have no place in the Kingdom of God or with His people.

God is love.   “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” (1 John 4:8 NIV)

We do not support, approve of, or condone any violence, hatred, or mistreatment of other humans.

God is love.   We furthermore do not stand with groups that divide people and boost hatred.  The body of believers must unite. It is our duty to love one another. “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” (John 13:34 NIV)

God is love.

God does not say to hate your enemies. Jesus says to love your enemies and pray for them.

 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’  But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,” (Matt 5:43-44 NIV)

We are not asking you to overlook actions, words, and behaviors that portray hatred or racism. We are asking you to pray for the souls of the persons doing, speaking, and behaving that way.

God is love.   Jesus came for all. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16 NIV)

Hate the hate, love the souls ~

If you are struggling with your anger, Take comfort in this:

“Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. On the contrary:

“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;

if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.

In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. “(Romans 12:19-21 NIV)
